We believe that agencies are the backbone of hope in our county and we take seriously our funding process. We recruit, train, and use capable community volunteers who review each agency application in detail, visit agencies, and speak with your executive director and staff. Our mission is to advance the common good of Davie County by uniting the resources of the community to identify and address the most pressing human needs.

Thank you for your interest in applying for funds from the United Way of Davie County. Before you begin the application process there are several things you need to know.

The United Way of Davie County has two primary considerations before we award grants to our partner agencies.

First, we want to make sure that there is a viable need for the program for which you are applying.
Second, we are also committed to ensuring that the agencies who apply are operating under the highest standards of professionalism.

Therefore, all the information we request in our grant application allows us to effectively measure these two considerations fully.

If this is the first time you are applying for funds with the United Way of Davie County, we encourage you to start as soon as possible. This year, we will be happy to provide feedback on applications that are submitted on or before Tuesday, March 1st, 2022. We will contact you with suggestions for improvements on or before Monday, March 7th, 2022. Reviewing your application does not guarantee funds, it only ensures that the best version of your application is presented to our Community Investment Council, made up entirely of volunteers. Applications are due March 14, 2022.
